For Him
He knows where I belong—
I, a word, just for him.
Adorning me with fresh emotions each day,
shaping the elegance of his verse.
He is seeking an untamed melody—
I, a note just for him,
Weaving me into the ripples of his instrument,
He is breathing a new life into his poetry.
I’ve watched him draw
winding, jagged lines—
I, a color just for him,
Gracing me on his brush,
He is giving his dreams a rainbow form.
Like waves, he sends me into the world,
At times with shells, at others with pearls.
But, setting everything aside
upon the shores, restless me.
Again and again,
I return to merge into him.
